In 2022, we sponsored two events at the Rome Capitol Arts Complex. The Mentalist, Robert Channing, show brought out a big crowd to see the well known Channing's show in April. The SummerStage Fall Festival gave the stage to Show Stoppers, Talent Variety Show and local band Second Breakfast. The festival included local artists art & craft fair, a trivia contest, local film screenings, and Rocky Horror Picture Show events.
In 2023, we will sponsor the Rome Historical Society annual dinner. It will be a dinner night at the Delta Lake Inn for members to meet, mingle, and award the Order of 1777 and History Maker recipients.
The Francis J. Bellamy Community Awards Committee has announced its 2019 Bellamy Award recipients, revealing that it will bestow three Bellamy Community Awards at its 7th Annual Francis J. Bellamy Community Awards Breakfast next month.
Michelle M. Adey, the 6 year old daughter of Michael Adey and Mary Carmel (Adey) Wolf, died in 1982 due to Cystic Fibrosis. Thanks to the help of friends and family, the Michelle M. Adey Memorial Fund was established in her memory to assist other families whose children face serious illness of any category.
